Erectile Dysfunction
How Can I Cure ED Naturally and Permanently?
Question:
For the past year or so, it’s been increasingly difficult for me to get an erection, or if I get one, it never seems to last long enough to complete sexual intercourse.
I know that I can pop Viagra or another ED drug to get a few hours of relief, but is there any way that I could cure myself of this impotence?
It’s beginning to have a very negative effect on my marriage and my happiness. Gary O., Thomaston, GA
Answer:
There really is no permanent cure for ED per se. It’s possible that an underlying medical condition — one that you haven’t had diagnosed or properly treated — could be brought under control so that you regain relatively normal erectile function at least temporarily.
But there is always the chance that another health problem will once again cause erection problems down the line.
The best course of action is to make healthy lifestyle decisions, which tend to promote robust erectile function. You can start by eating a healthy diet — the Mediterranean is an ideal model — and exercising regularly. If you smoke, stop as soon as possible, and try to limit your alcohol consumption.
If you’re overweight or obese, work with your doctor to lose those excess pounds, which will not only improve overall blood flow but also make you a more attractive sexual partner.
If your doctor has identified medical issues that might be causing ED symptoms, follow the doctor’s advice to get those issues under control so that their effects on erectile function are minimal.
Thanks
